I was so disappointed to see Cruise playing Jack. He did a decent job of it but I expected to see a BIG GUY not Cruise. It wouldn’t have mattered if the guy playing Jack was white or black or Asian as long as he was a BIG GUY. Little Tommy though he played it well was off setting.
Alan Ladd had the same problem. They often had him standing on a box or something that was not shown in the picture. Maybe Tom liked the role because the name “Jack Reacher” sounds a little gay. Anyway, I enjoyed the movies. Lee Child, who wrote the books, used to work in television and his books are cinematic.

Tom Cruise looks nothing like the description of Jack Reacher. Cruise is a munchkin compared to the tall Jack Reacher. Can you say miscast?

I’d never heard of Jack Reacher…. so sue me…. till those books were mentioned here the other day….
So I Googled the name.
One of the first things that comes up in a search is news…
so before I even got to the results describing the books… which don’t sound like my cup of tea…
I saw an article saying that Tom Cruise is out….
Future sequels will have a different star due to the number of viewer complaints about Cruise’s stature.
I guess Betty does like that sort of books….
it seemed that she already had them on hand and knew the plots before suggesting them for Bub to read.
