Pretty much what I was thinking when it snowed here in Phoenix and every stray cat was looking around like it’d never seen anything like this in its entire life. “Yeah”, I thought, “all seven years of it”.
Well, actually past lives too. During one I was an ant on fudge at a picnic and I died and went toward the light, but it was just Tommy with his magnifying lens.
Back about ‘49-’ 50 making FUDGE became a fad at the local high school (Sequoia – Redwood City, Ca).My sister Lou and her fiends almost killed us with it…Strangely enough, my DAD made the Best….Make it myself sometimes too…Now where is my double boiler…Learned to mix in Blackberry brandy at the right moment for killer Fudge…Got me a promotion at work when I gave some to the ladies in the personnel dept…

Oh, my mother had a full time job raising five children, and grandmother STILL always had more desserts to spare for us!
It’s a gramma thing, not a mom thing, nor even a working mom thing.

I must be old fashion. When Nelson was asked if he would like some fudge and he answered “Yeah” he wasn’t corrected. Sadly manners are extinct.
