What we are witnessing is the betrayal of our country by the republican party. They have done this systematically since Reagan with civil rights and now have the main prize in their sights, the government of the United States itself. They are drownding truth, honor and country in a bathtub.
My Republican family was deeply hurt by Nixon, Goldwater, and Gingrich and it’s good that they’re not around to see where that has led to … were they still alive, they probably think of today’s Democrats as being the Republicans as they knew them. The Republican party centered in the Northeast was very different. I believe that Washington warned us, in his farewell address , of the danger of geographical divisions being a threat to our constitutional democratic republic.
