Trump should have realized that he needed a Jack Nicholson type from “A Few Good Men” to announce his hell yea code red, I mean quid pro quo hell yea. Mulvaney was too much of a loser. He also could have used his Nicholson stand-in for his you need me on that wall, after we build it, speech.
I’m afraid I don’t understand the constant arguing about the supposed LACK of a “quid pro quo” here.
The existence or lack of a “quid pro quo” is totally beside the point and is NOT NEEDED in a House Impeachment!
The ACTUAL crime, here – the actual impeachable offense, is the asking by an American President for assistance in an American election from a foreign entity.
That is, in and of itself, an illegal act! The help being requested need not be given to make the crime a crime – the mere “asking” is the crime, and the documentation provided by the White House, itself, shows proof of the crime!
Mulvaney is correct in that our government is always seeking “quid pro quos” from other governments (and THAT is acceptable – We’ll give you aid in return for your help.) What is absolutely NOT ACCEPTABLE is requesting political aid personally in return for something of value.)
Regardless of whether Trump believes himself equaling America, the fact is – Trump is not America and America is not Trump. End of argument.
Though it is absolutely correct that a quid pro quo wasn’t necessary, it’s quite Orwellian trump apologists can go from “no quid pro quo” to “sure there was, so what”?
Get over it!!?? Hey let’s break the law, piss on the constitution, get away with murder, commit treason….What is the matter with out government!! Holy $hit. Get over it? Hell NO. A$$holes.
