Takeoffs are optional. Landings are mandatory. And it is better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air than to be in the air wishing you were on the ground.

Agnes hasn’t gotten that far yet!

Take-offs also require some of whatever it is that results in airborne-ness….

That is to say, normally an engine, and attendant fixtures such as working propellers, and possibly wheels.

Hopefully Agnes has confidence in finding something else, like…

oh… a bit of flubber…. a magic feather, a good West wind… all of which have made something fly…

because I don’t really see many airplane engines in dumpsters.

Can’t argue with that.

She’s got the small speck part down though.

Let’s hope she doesn’t end up being a speck on the ground.

Maybe it’s academic. But I wonder how the folding chair from a few strips back fits into this. Clearly Agnes has thought small to start—a rarity for her.

That’s the problem, there are no holdups…

Good things are reputed to take time.

The lows are low, but the highs—Hooboy!

She’s doing as well as the US space program over recent years: big dreams, lots of boasting, and at most prototypes that don’t actually do what the finished product is supposed to do (orbit in their case, fly in hers).
