Garfield is like a lot of kids — thinks he hates vegetables, when he eats them all the time. What’s the sauce on the pizza made from? Right. (Okay, technically a tomato is a fruit, but it’s used as a vegetable in cooking. See http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/page/199.)
Why does anyone ever make casseroles? They’re never good, and nobody likes them except cooks who are too tired or lazy to make anything tastier, and you’d think they’d give up after the tepid reception casseroles get at the table.

^ Although Garf does love to eat houseplants…perhaps he prefers raw veggies.
stormydaze about 13 years ago
He chews houseplants, doesn’t eat them I don’t think. But veggies is definitly out of his food catagory.
Daffyfan2009 about 13 years ago
Well, he doesn’t like raisins either. Besides, there have been many strips where Garfiled would criticize Jon’s cooking.

If you do an eggplant casserole right it’s just like lasagna but with eggplant instead of noodles.
pcolli about 13 years ago
We aren’t giving up on the pizza. A pizza that took a whole week to order must be worth seeing.
Is comicgos the only one besides myself who remembers?
lewisbower about 13 years ago
Funny, I have 3 four footed creatures rubbing my ankles when I start slicing Lasagna.
peter0423 about 13 years ago
Right on, Nebulous. Or eggplant parmigiana…yum!

I don’t know why he’s celebrating – they still have to eat the eggplant casserole! It may be burned, but it’s still supper!!
mrcharmander934 about 13 years ago
Wow, this one’s pretty funny, and the splash panel’s hilarious!
peter0423 about 13 years ago
Ah…I see what happened. The punctuation sneaked into the URL when I wasn’t looking. :) Thanks!
