Mainstream politics has become so polluted that to get anywhere, you must chart your own way.

The “Squad” — four amazing, brilliant young women — are speaking truth to power and offering real solutions. They are not driving off the cliff; they are trying to put barriers to stop those who are.

Since Breen did not cite any specific actual examples of what he is talking about, he has essentially said nothing, so no reply is necessary other than to point out his vapidity.

By the way, these four amazing women actually took office by getting the most votes, with “bigly” numbers that Trump could only fantasize about.

Ayanna Pressley got 98.3 % of the vote in her election.

Rashida Tlaib got 84.2% of the vote in her election.

Ilhan Omar got 78.2% of the vote in her election.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez got 78.0% of the vote in her election.

In contrast, their critic-in-chief, Trump, only got 46% of the vote in his election and not even the most votes!

I’m still trying to figure why they’re going off to the RIGHT!

I guess Steve hasn’t been paying very close attention to this week’s developments. I hope he’s not going to be too shocked to see trump go down in flames.

But it’s so great when Individual 1 snubs social and political norms, right?

Did you watch the whole movie this is based upon? Did you remember how Thelma and Louise got to that point where they felt it was their best and only option? If you think politics in what used to be this great nation has gotten to the state where these people who represent many people who feel as they do need to make a statement and a stand then you could show this cartoon with more clarity. If however, you’ve forgotten that part of the movie or just ignored it then this is denegrating them for making a stand, and you’re mocking them and the voices of the people they were elected to represent and who think there is a better way to do things for them (whether you agree or disagree as is clearly your right) then you’ve gone against several of the founding principles of this nation. Ignoring, disparaging, and mocking differing views and sticking to the same old, same old is how people have turned America into an oligarchy (“a small group of people having control of a country, organization, or institution”). And that’s why we’re in the crappy state we’re in now. And why much of our nation and other countries outright dispise us. In other words, that’s a really a-hole thing to do. They and they people they were duly elected to represent have a voice and the right to be listened to (again agree to it or disagree but you have to listen and hopefully consider what others say and how they feel). Everybody has the right to speak their mind and be heard. Mock that and you mock every damned thing that America is supposed to stand for and I’d spit in the face of anyone who’d do that in a heartbeat. To intimate that they’re speaking for differing views is foolish or suicidal is to say not to speak except to only keep in tow with the status quo is just more BS. Ya don’t get to mock the most basic tenet of democracy. So please make it clear where you stand. These Americans do that. They exercise that right.

From this cartoon, we can infer that Breen is one of those unAmeerican folks that asserts “We’re not a democracy” and does not have any respect for the US Constitution and its amendments. Perhaps he’d prefer a country where the “representatives” are selected for him?

Mark Twain said it best: “A patriot supports his country all the time, and his Government when it deserves it!”

And this FARCE of a “Government”, as defined by Agent Orange and his fellow TRAITORS in the Republican Party, DOES NOT DESERVE ANY SUPPORT WHATSOEVER!!!!!

Since “Mainstream politics” has become a quagmire of back room deals, secret trusts and inbred nepotism that would make the oligarchs of Russia envious, this driving off the cliff may not be a bad thing.

Breen is a talented artist. He seems to lean somewhat rightward, but he criticizes both sides. I’m not even sure if he leans right, because It annoys me when he criticizes my side.

If their voters no longer feel they are representing their interests, they will vote them out of office. Why the concern over alternative views being discussed?

The Mainstream has become a tad polluted.

Outside of main stream, yes, end it all politics, no. They have a base too, they were duly elected and hold valid political objectives, just not yours.

Yeah… I would like to know what Breen is referring too… besides the right’s underhanded coordinated and of course dishonest attacks against these brave, brilliant, women.

They are female, non"white", and massively supported by their constituents. Of course they must be attacked at every opportunity. How else can der Meisterraße be maintained.

Mainstream politics gives us the continuation of the GOP agenda.

It is so much better to have Repub members of the science committee state that the Earth is only 6000 – 9000 years old and claim that evolution is a lie “from the pits of hell”. Then there’s the great senator that thinks holding a snow ball means there is no human-cause climate change. Then there’s this great one that had the pic made of Reagan riding a dinosaur because that’s such a logical argument against the Green New Deal.

In case there’s any doubt, YES, this is sarcasm.

I find it odd that a man thinks these women are so out of step with many in their party that they need to make the ultimate gesture—I think they are spot on and young enough and honest enough to tell it as they see it—Bravo!

Don’t forget that Breen is subconscious…ly unable to see any woman as appropriate in a position of power, but particularly  any woman who’s not entirely white, even more so if they’re not content to sit quietly and let the men get on with business.
