I had to return a restocked item that had its contents exchanged for a brick.
I once tried to return a dead parrot. Believe me, it did not go well.
I have a friend who works retail; she says that these “return” scams are very common. Except that I’m pretty sure that her store doesn’t sell talking dogs.
