I’ve never seen a dog bury a bone but maybe that’s something else that Berners don’t do (besides fetch). They will dig at something but that’s usually just to dig. Ours proudly take their bone outside to chew but then get distracted and a deer must grab it and it’s gone forever. Taking your bone outside is strictly forbidden here.
I’ve finally decided to start a notebook of all the places that I consider safe enough to hide the things I want to protect… Like Marm, I’m really good at hiding them from my own self.. LOL
