Chippy here is equating chainsaws with rapid firing guns.

Just because he’s been red flagged doesn’t mean he’ll be denied a gun that can kill dozens in seconds. Thanks to Individual 1 protecting the rights of the mentally ill to buy weapons they shouldn’t have even if they WERE of sound mind.

Try killing with that from the 30th floor of a Vegas hotel. Or killing 9 people in 30 seconds outside a Walmart.

It’s true that a chainsaw would probably kill people faster than stabbing them. But probably not a lot faster than a sword aka machete. Neither option is anywhere near as deadly, as fast, as an assault weapon. Though if he used the chainsaw on the posts under the building…

Must be a lame attempt at the old dodge of “if they can’t buy guns, they’ll use something else”.

To my knowledge there has never been a Drive By Knifing. ( Or Chainsaw attack)

Most Americans are interested in solutions, not evasions. Our “representatives” however seem to worry collectively more about the 30% who own 100% of the guns.

Only 85% of eligible voters register and only 60% of the registered actually vote, so only 51% try to vote and that’s before the politicians “select” their voters. No wonder we have radical extremist minority rule.

Are the right wing cartoonists even trying anymore?

The Dayton shooter shot 26 people in 32 seconds. Even with a chainsaw, you can’t do that much damage

Take a good man to do as much damage as a AK-47 or any of the other rapid fire guns can do. Besides cutting up a body with a chainsaw is messy… and we all know lone shooters don’t like to get others blood and guts splashed on them.

First he rolls back regulations that prevented those with mental illness from accessing guns, and now trump wants to take “mentally deranged and dangerous people off of the streets”. Checking himself into an institution would be a good start.

Along this line of thinking… citizens should be able to purchase nuclear bombs too. I means bombs don’t kill people… Evil boogeymen with bombs do.

One of my conservative relatives posted article about London mayor looking to pass knife control measures because they’ve had 50 knife murders since 2018. Most of her posts are pro-Christian and anti-abortion. Can’t understand how “choose life” doesn’t apply to gun control .

Please use “something else”! Your total body count will be tiny compared to semi-automatics.

Maybe we should try an experiment. Let’s have some countries with strict gun laws and one without strict gun laws, and see what happens.

Not what red flag laws are about. What he is doing there is showing how NICS prevents legal sales to people with a criminal history that was reported to the FBI.

Red flag is when someone has the stones to report a nut case to authorities BEFORE he/she snaps. Sadly, the red flag triggers are typically things that SHOULD result in arrest and trial. Threats of violence are the most common.

Imagine a nation where the Prosecutors took these things seriously and actually pursued accusations against violent people.

“Urrr…when guns is outlawed, only outlaws is has guns!”

Would be so much simpler to lock the nut cases up in a sanitarium, but they closed those all down and left it to the individual to take their medications, NOT. Almost like they want to use the Final Solution.
