I noticed today that the NRA was already chastising Il Douche for mentioning background checks. Based on historic precedent, that will be the last time he mentions it for at least a few months, and then he’ll deny he ever said anything like that.
Actually, the NRA is falling apart due to internal battles right now. They may collapse completely (probably impossible), but, for the first time, they have poured less money into Congress than their opponents. It remains to be seen how that will make a difference when the Congress finally decides to go back into session in September…
