I think that if we’re going to have weapons running around loose, we should adopt a national age limit to buy and own guns. Obviously we have a situation where you can buy assault weapons at one age and shuffle on over to the state next door where one is underage and commit a mass murder attempt. Do I think it will stem anything? No, but it will give the DAs an extra charge to place on any surviving maniac. Yes, it is an insane situation.
NRA and its followers are discussing why the shooter was such a loser and are debating which gun he could have used for a better body count, only 3, c’mon! /s /s /s
I may be naive but I believe if enough people keep bugging our Congressmen and Senators legislation could be enacted like that of Australia and Japan. I urge everyone that is disgusted with gun violence to contact their Congressman and Senator.
Now what? Well, the horse is out of the barn — 350 million firearms in circulation and billions of bullets, too. Can’t do much about that, short of confiscation. Still it seems that better background checks, putting the kibosh on gun show sales, and recording gift firearms transactions would help. Of course, the NRA and its government arm, the GOP, won’t even permit appropriate federal research into the problems of firearm related suicides, mass shootings (averaging more than one a day now), rage killings, and firearms injuries, as a basis for writing gun control legislation.
Now what? How about some strong legislation? Licensing, registration, based on proven knowledge of the weapon and practice in its use…you know, just like cars, or planes, or….
The fact that the shooter had a pro-Nazi website is fake news made up by the lying liberal media. The whole shooting was sponsored by the haters in the Democratic Party as an attempt to pry the guns out of the cold dead hands of honest citizens. 40-somewhat percent of the people will buy this explanation without question.
I think the jar is empty because the “thoughts and prayers” being offered after these tragedies are empty. It’s easy enough to say thoughts and prayers, but what are these thoughts, and who are your praying to? Disturbing!
It is never empty! It’s just that the love of man has waxed so cold for each other that now we are reaping the harvest of violence we have sown for centuries! God still answers prayer, but He also allows us to feel the consequences of our own wicked deeds.
The NRA will tell you that guns do not kill people, people kill people. I agree.
Had the gunman been armed with a Second Amendment era musket, he could have killed or injured as many people in about 20 minutes provided there were no misses and the people were willing to stand around for 20 minutes to get shot at and no one stops him while he is reloading.
I understand the ReTrumpliKKKan Senate has come out with a bill to arm Walmart employees to keep this kind of thing from happening again.

When it comes to keeping that jar topped, refills seem to be getting scarcer.

If one accepts the immortality of the soul, then these shooters are just sending those undesirables back where they came from. /s

Keep praying! It works! For the NRA, the bigott fundamentalists and the KKK. As long as you keep praying, they have nothing to fear.
