Although he is a lifelong Republican he gave the Democrats enough information to start an impeachment inquiry. He was far more honest than most Republicans would be in his position . The Democrats must start soon or it will be to late.

If Mueller had integrity and honor he would condemn Trump by telling the truth and then resign. He’s getting old and I’m sure his pension would be large.

Mueller is a republican. Republicans are in power and in control. They will do whatever is necessary to stay in control whether it’s working with the Russians, rigging elections, rigging special counsel investigations, lying, cheating or stealing elections. They have Fox (fake) News government TV, the army, congress, and a educationally challenged electorate. They have been planning and implementing this stealth coup since Reagan. Trump is the cherry on top of their coup!

Oh, well. At least no one noticed that Mueller stated explicitly that Trump committed perjury:

REP. VAL DEMINGS (D-FL): Director Mueller, isn’t it fair to say that the President’s written answers were not only inadequate and incomplete because he didn’t answer many of your questions, but where he did, his answers showed that he wasn’t always being truthful?

    MUELLER: I would say generally.

    .

Because what else is on? Is it time for Duck Dynasty?

I suspect that some of the posters above are trolls trying to undermine Mueller. Others oppose Trump’s policies and immature behavior. Those who oppose Trump and are angry that Mueller didn’t hand you Trump’s head in a basket should realize that weeks ago Mueller already handed the House of Representatives every reason to impeach Donald John Trump.

The Speaker of the House is trying to walk a very fine line on when to begin. Too soon, and there won’t be enough support in the Senate to convict. (Trump would proclaim victory.) Too late, and public support may suffer. (People might think the Democrats are not pursuing the matter because they don’t want to offend the donor-Oligarch class.)

Have you read the Mueller Report? I am in the process of doing so. It’s not expensive. There are even, large-print forms are available. If you want to call yourself a patriot, someone concerned for the future of our country as a democracy, a free country of laws and not an autocracy, get busy and start reading. For most of us, it is the most patriotic thing we can do right now.

In the report Mueller and his team lay out Trump’s and his subordinates’ willing acceptance of help from a hostile foreign power in gaining the presidency. Trump asked for such help publicly, and got it.

Mueller and his team lay out multiple instances of Trump and his subordinates obstructing justice.

It’s more than enough to warrant serious investigation, requiring testimony from Trump and his subordinates.

Mueller should have said some of those things to the Gong Show that pretends to be representing us.

Leave conspiracy theories out of Mueller’s testimony. He did his job.

One final explanation for Mueller’s performance is only indirectly related to his age. He is simply too decent and too serious to stoop to the reality-television standards that rule our era. He made one wry joke that gave us a peek into his contempt for the whole affair, when asked by one congresswoman if she could expect a jail sentence had she done such-and-such. “Yes,” he said. Then he added after a pause, “Although it’s Congress, so …”

The GOP’s questions to Mueller seemed bizarre — unless you watch Fox News.Treating right-wing conspiracy theories as smoking guns shows that Republicans are mostly speaking to their base.

Mr. Rall, have you ever sat for a protracted oral examination? I sat for my oral PhD for 4+ hours, and at that time I was only 29. It was exhausting, and I had a committee that was predisposed to be friendly. If not, perhaps you should withhold judgement, particularly until you are 75 with all that means.

And Ted, your argument is tired. He did exactly what he was supposed to do, legally, civically and morally. You can move on.

No, he did not do his job. He let others do it it for him. And then he failed to familiarize himself with the document bearing his name. An old man not all there got thrown under the bus seven ways from Sunday.

Part 2 of the report is the equivalent of the hatchet job Comey did on Hillary when he convicted her on national television then refused to recommend indictment. Difference being that Comey spelled out details of actual crimes while part 2 danced around the perimeter.

In both cases the very foundation of US prosecutoral ethics was trashed. You go big or you go home. Prosecutors are bound by rules and ethics to NOT lay out details if they choose to not indict.
