Mueller has a reputation for being taciturn — a “just the facts, ma’am” kind of straightforward simplicity in his communications. He had made it clear he did not want to be there and would stick closely to the script of his 446-page report.

Yes, Mueller was terse in his answers. But what those one-word responses did do is confirm the enormity of Trump’s wrongdoing, on a scale that absolutely would have been prosecuted if not for questionable Nixon-era Department of Justice rules that Mueller, as a DOJ employee, was obligated to comply with.

But what Mueller — the points that real news has been reporting and Faux “News” [FOX FAKE NEWS] has not — confirmed was absolutely damning.

Repeatedly, Democrats read “testimony” from the report that clearly instances where wrongdoing was confirmed or all the elements of a crime were established, and Mueller confirmed with his one-word responses: “Yes”; “True”; “right”; “correct”; “Agreed”; “That is generally true.”

And while those that have read all or significant portions of the report did not learn much that was not already known, those who only had heard from Faux “News” that Mueller completely exonerated Trump got some eye-popping news.

When former Republican Justin Amash became the only one of his former party to call for an impeachment inquiry to begin, he explained his reasons, citing material from the Mueller report, and one of his constituents said she was surprised because she had never heard that there was anything negative about Trump in the report.

For THAT constituency, the hearing was very informative.

The babbling idiocy of Goemert, and the Republican parasites, er parrots, wasn’t questioning, but harassment, posturing, and kissing Bonespurs’ butt. Mueller wasn’t buying it,, and in single word answers, made it quite clear that the House has more than enough to proceed. He said he would repeat what was in the report, and did just that. Now if you want incoherent bull, just read a Bonespurs tweet, or listen to any. Of his verbalizing. He’s filled the people’s house with far worse rats than any in Baltimore.

Just wondering if we’re going to see a massive influx of Russian “tourists” (mostly young men in their 20’s) next year shortly before the election?

I was thinking the same thing during his presentation. However it was also clear to any (intelligent) listener that the Redneck republican senators didn’t want to hear the truth!! Only more lies to support their Ignorance!!!

Hair Furor has said that his “good friend,” Mr. Putin, has denied any interfering in our electoral process. How can anyone not believe our beloved leader, after being assured by the Russian’s beloved leader, that there was no interference? Besides, Mr. McConnell knows our elections are secure. He was paid to know that.

You would think that by now, the voters would be tired of the partisan forever war that seems to benefit we the people only by infrequent accidents.

Is negative obstruction that much more appealing than proactive cooperation/compromise?

Why do voters complain of the two-party system yet sustain when there many examples of multi-party democracies around the world?

Putin is winning, thanks to Republicans. I didn’t hear one of them address election interference during the hearing. They went with berating a decorated Vietnam vet instead. Stay classy, GOP.

Russia is a mouse next to an American behemoth. For example, look at this: https://bradblog.com/?p=13069

“Philly Citizen Election Advocates Petition State for Review of Wildly Vulnerable New E-Vote Systems:” (emphasis added). They’re bringing in NEW cheat machines? That takes gall.

And yes, Republicans are hell-bent on destroying the last vestiges of democracy, as illustrated by McConnell’s treatment of bills requiring paper ballots, but Philadelphia is run by Democrats.

It’s not Mueller. He did what he was supposed to do. It’s the spineless, so-called “leadership” of the House that can’t stop dithering and DO SOMETHING about that obscenity occupying the White House.

The GOP’s questions to Mueller seemed bizarre — unless you watch Fox News.Treating right-wing conspiracy theories as smoking guns shows that Republicans are mostly speaking to their base.

    And:

The House has already opened an impeachment investigation against Trump. Forget the political optics. As a matter of law, the Judiciary Committee’s actions are clear.

    Context matters.

What Mueller needed was some strong black coffee, a cup every 30 minutes. He seems a good and honest man, worn out by all the bullshit that he has had to deal with.

It’s really creepy that we Americans need a show. We can’t just listen to what Mueller said.
