In a way, I sort of understand the Right’s concern about Government Health Care, given their sterling success with the Veteran’s Administration Health Care system. I think that’s what they’re projecting. /s
a) It wasn’t necessary to label your drawing “Two left feet”. We got it. It wasn’t that subtle.
b) If the right foot would show up and quit trying to walk backwards two left feet wouldn’t be necessary. We could march forward, left and right. But the right foot is off somewhere, probably kicking itself in the ass, trying to figure out what went wrong with its party.
The health of a nation should be considered the same as infrastructure. Like roads / bridges.. built at taxpayers expense for everyone to use. Some states / cities will have better roads. Private money will build toll roads and bridges to get you to your destination sooner and in more comfort.. but alternative routes exist.
If Congress linked minimum wages to a composite of housing and medical care costs a capitalist private care solution might work. Would the right be willing to do that?
“Left” is absolutely not a politically bad thing. And if you think that paying for health care is somehow a good thing, I urge you to simply look at statistical outcomes. For instance:
Be sure to scroll to the next but last category if you think that socialized medicine has a bad effect on how long you wait.
Note too, that there are some ways that the US does better than in other nations. A few.
Forbes has an opposing view. I found it wonderfully disingenuous, but YMMV. https://www.forbes.com/sites/physiciansfoundation/2018/04/09/u-s-health-outcomes-compared-to-other-countries-are-misleading
Yes, universal healthcare was guaranteed in Soviet Constitution of 1917 along with equal rights and guaranteed jobs. Let’s institute that again. It MIGHT work this time! :-)
because it is the best in the world. People from countries with socialized medicine countries come here for treatment. I have freedom of the press, does that mean the government is required to buy me a newspaper? I have freedom of speech, does that mean the government is required to buy me a newspaper? No, freedom is freedom. if you are dependent on the government, you are not INDEPENDENT. In addition, show me the list of people dying from lack of healthcare. It does not exist. Look at Saint Jude’s Hospital.. a non government organization providing free healthcare to those who cannot pay. But the Democratic party cannot control people as a result of what they do.

2004 called, Ms Benson. It wants its lame insults back.
And you’re ripping off a cartoon Tom Stiglich drew about Harris last month.

Kamala Harris must be the new rising Star they need to nip in the bud with their favorite insult- that all people will have access to health care.

If it is a trillion or two to bomb Iran, no problem. If it is a few bucks to give Americans healthcare, are you kidding!!!

You equal things out Ms. Benson, though it’s hard tell because so often you suffer from foot IN mouth disease.

Why is the USA the ONLY first-world country without universal healthcare? The only first-world country where getting healthcare can bankrupt you?
That is the disgrace, Ms Benson.

Lisa, being as empty and cruel and heartless against human beings as you seem to be takes a lot of effort. I’m sure you are proud of yourself.

Lisa once again demonstrates the Trump Disciple’s hostility toward anyone getting health care who cannot pay for it.
And, of course, hostility toward government doing anything for anyone but the rich.

But looky at how very clever Lisa is with words: “Too Left Feet”. She must be sooooo proud of the intellectual subtlety she shows here…

Maybe if we got the lawyers and outrageous jury awards out of the way we could use the money for healthcare.
