If “Chinese junk” didn’t sell Walmart/Williams-Sonoma would not sell it. If what Made In America products use to cost were predictive of current prices we would have a lot less “junk” in our houses: 1950 toaster $21 (($201 2019$), 1960 electric wall clock $28 ($235 2019) 1960- 19" b/w tv $200+ ($1,750) -the average manufacturing wage was $2.25 in 1960 ($19 2019) so a worker had to work 12+ hours to but a wall clock.
Nice inclusion of the overturned soup bowl turrets. Those were unique to Russian and Chinese designs. I also have to point out that in China, they have no economic liberty either. Because of low regulations and low wages, most jobs that are available to the Chinese lower class have inhumane working conditions. Gradually, they are shifting out of China and into other countries, such as Bangladesh and/or India.
Products made in the USA will cost more and the quality will be better, so decide if you want to waste your money on crap or have a product longer and more durable.
Wow. Always pointing to others and feeling so good. What about the 50 imperialistic wars started by the USA during the last 250 years? No other nation started so many illegal wars, no other people are so much obsessed by firearms, and in no other developed western country, social welfare is so low, the rich so extremely rich, and the leading parties so uninterested in environmental issues. And in no other developed western country have I ever seen 80 year old cleaning people in a waffle house or alike to earn their living.
