This ’toon accurately reflects Trump’s explicit views on immigration and, yes, race has a lot to do with it.
On the occasion when Trump was being questioned about his infamous reference to immigrants from “sh*thole countries” (which he identified as Haiti, El Salvador or Africa [which Trump seems to thinks is a single country]), he was sitting next to the prime minister of Norway, and stated, gesturing to the prime minister, that what we need is more immigration from countries like “Normay” (the misstatement is Trump’s, as is the clear reference to a preference for northern European [white!] immigrants).
Of course, what can you expect from a man who, along with his father, got sued in the 1970’s by the NIXON administration (you know, the one who crafted the racist “Southern Strategy”) for racial discrimination in their rentals. How racist would you have to be to get sued for being racist by Richard Nixon?
And this is the guy whose father (that he revered) had been one of only SEVEN arrested at a Ku Klux Klan rally in New York City (not the Deep South, but New York City) out of a crowd of a thousand, years earlier.
But then, of course, there are “fine people on both sides.”
Jared needs to take a hike! Now he wants to build in Palestine, but he says build relations with them…improve their infrastructure! HEY A-HOLES! America first you devious twits! You’re not fooling WE the PEOPLE! Our infrastructure is crumbling around us and NOTHING IS BEING DONE by BOTH PARTIES!
Trump and Kushner believe that being a failed real estate developer somehow qualifies you as an expert in all national policy decisions. In the real world it doesn’t. Trumpland it does. Their policies are simple racists based, nothing more.
I think we need to stop picking on poor li’l Jared. After all, it’s not HIS fault that his father is a criminal, his father-in-law is a criminal, two of his brothers-in-law are criminals, and his wife is a criminal. Then again, it MIGHT be Jared’s fault that HE is a criminal………
