“Across the United States, Republican-controlled legislatures are outlawing abortion, with the hope of bringing the issue before a sympathetic Supreme Court. If they succeed in revoking women’s reproductive rights, the US will quickly become a different society – one resembling communist-era Romania.”
These A-holes should spend some time around foster care kids, or ERs to see the kids beaten and abused brought in by police. Just another element of making abortion legal and available, or at least birth control, which many of these new “pro-life” bills also prohibit.
While I do not think abortion should be a normal form of birth control; I do think it should be the woman’s decision (hopefully with input from the dad). Whether or not I agree with their (her) decision is irrelevant. I can remember being horrified that people could not get abortions back in the 1960’s when babies were being born horribly deformed due to a prescription drug called Thalidomide. Only the rich could get an abortion then and that was by going to Sweden to get it.

Odd. Normally books are due after three weeks; not issued at six.

A chilling look at a nation that banned abortion:

I’m surprised that Alabama didn’t provide an exception for one of the parents being black, Latino, Muslim, Democratic, or any other “others” category.
