There is only one ex-pope.

I have the greatest respect for Benedict XVI. This is a sad and inaccurate depiction of him. Nor would Holy Father Francis agree with this.

This might be funny IF Benedict was anything like that. Honestly, Patrick – like him, don’t like him, WHATEVER!!! No excuse for making up stuff to fit your narrative.

Pope Benedict did step down on his own volition. There is a lot to be said for that.

While Benedict did have a great deal of respect in some circles, in other circles he was known as “Papa Ratzi”. He was said to be fairly lenient toward priests of less than stellar morals.

And the point is ………..?

Following the current drama in the church and aware of their very different goals and agendas, this is an utterly brilliant send up of their papacies, and based on Ben’s recent blatant attempt to undermine Francis. It’s the comics. exaggeration is the game.

This non-Catholic who really likes Pope Francis just learned a lot from reading these comments (unlike some days when the comments are plain old irritating) – thanks!
