A meaningful cartoon from Ramirez at last. Perhaps there IS a vaccine against stupidity.

As a longtime county health nurse my grandmother actively participated in the eradication of childhood diseases. She’d be rolling in her grave if she knew they were making a comeback because parents were refusing to get their children vaccinated.

But, if there were an antistupidity vaccine, you would probably be the first to refuse to get it.

Anti-stupid vaccine should be required at the voting poles….

Walfishj, you meant to say vaccination, right?

Although, vacation works, too, doesn’t it?

great line on Facebook- if my kid can’t bring peanut butter to school, then yours can’t bring the deathly plague. Vaccinate or I am bringing the Jiffy!

I’m glad to see that Ramirez is in favor of basing important decisions on good science. Climate change next?

The autism myth has been thoroughly debunked, yet it hangs on. Scourges such as polio, plague, and other infectious diseases were all but eradicated. And now, thanks to the enlightened world of rumor, disinformation, and (sigh) simple human stupidity, they’re making a comeback. Sometimes, I feel that Satre had it right when he observed, “Hell is other people.”

The subject of vaccinations is not black and white. Imagine you are making something that government will require everyone to have; the money incentive is very high. Many vaccinations are legit, some are total BS. Effectiveness is based on skewed data from drug company scientists, whose livelihood is dependent on making sure that all negative results about a new vaccine or drug are ignored, tossed, or covered up. Lipitor comes to mind; one of the biggest hoaxes pulled on the American public. My guess, it has caused way more deaths than it prevented.

Would a vaccine for stupidity prevented our current president. I had measles and chicken pox in the fifties and i’m 72, I am probably healthier than most in their 40s and 50s.

I am old enough to remember getting the mumps and the measles!! Trust me, it was NO FUN AT ALL! Since I had them back to back. Literally went to school one day after the mumps and came home with the measles. That and some other health problems caused me to have to repeat 4th grade. Fortunately I had got to start 1st grade early, and it didn’t wind up so bad.

I would venture a guess that the vast majority of illegals haven’t been vaccinated. 4,000 per day ! (could be significantly higher)Justify there entry. Go.

I agree totally; our guesses based upon our personal beliefs are more truthful than all the evidence collected by thousands of researchers who have spent their lives collecting it. I mean, what do THEY know?

One word Penicillin!!!! It saved hundreds of thousands of lives, BUT it can also kill because some people are very allergic to it. It was only found out after it was in wide use.
