Mitty – I just read the other day that there is a company now doing DNA tests for cats. However, IMO, I don’t think the most famous tough & fancy tuxie, The Mittens, needs to know specifics because everyone knows he’s the toughest & fanciest tuxie ever! ♥♥♥
A feline ancestry database??? The mind boggles at the size & complexity involved… No doubt there would be quite a few dead ends, as well (the family legend about g-g-g-great grandmother Patches and her dalliance with a ship’s cat one evening, for example).
