Pelosi has a dangerous game to play. If she goes for impeachment, support and donations will totally solidify for DT and make the upcoming elections that much harder. If she doesn’t, she risks losing the base and newer supporters to her perceived weakness and dismissal of voter needs.
Rick Wilson, a GOP election consultant/Trump hater, said impeachment would be a losing game for Dems, so use the House to hammer Trump. Very similar strategy they practiced on Hillary and Obama for decades. Maybe build your ground game and take it all away.
So far there is no evidence that impeachment has hurt the party who started it against the other in power. And I’d rather have it weighing on the Republicans since they aren’t doing so well politically.
I like the idea of paying trump to go away. A nice simple payoff. And he takes that poxy crew with him. Then, we decide who’s president, in a logical manner. Musical chairs.

Many republicans ignored Nixon’s actions and blamed the Democrats for getting rid of Nixon. I believe that they vowed to impeach a Democrat. When they failed to impeach Clinton, I think they decided that they would never allow an impeachment of another republican, no matter what he or she did.
