We have lost many mid-range restaurants in our area. About the only things left are fast food, very niche places, and a (very) few mid-range places. We lost Bob Evans, Ruby Tuesday, Bug-a-boo Creek, and a few others that escape me right now. :o(
I remember going to the restaurant in the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco. The menu did not have any prices listed. I was told “If you have to ask the price, you can’t afford to eat here.”
