This sounds like a great description of life. Don’t worry kiddo, you will find the cape gets worn and comfortable and the dog is more fun than the cards and magic is better without the glitz and glamour.
I had a friend in L.A. who was a member of the Magic Castle, he invited a small group to dinner and a show. During the dinner, members would walk around doing table magic for the dinners. They’d be three feet away and you still couldn’t follow what they were doing.

None of the glitzy and glamourous are glitz and glamour when you’re first getting started.

Make the dog part of your show – make him disappear!

I’m trying to remember if I’ve ever seen a cape on “Fool Us.”
