Stump (bonespurs/draft dodger) is jealous of a celebrated war hero. Stumps complains that he wasn’t thanked for his ‘letting’ the family use Air force 2 sounds to me like a spoiled brat whining that the Big kids won’t play with him!
I have not served my country in the Armed Forces during peace or war. John McCain has long been a hero of mine because that is the way we were raised. I was ever more in awe of the man when he publicly defended Mr. Obama at a McCain campaign rally. That is integrity.
My paternal Grandfather enlisted in the U.S. Navy the day after The USS Maine sunk and served through WW II, retiring as a Commander. My maternal Grandfather enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1916 and served in France during 1917-18. My Father was an 18 yr. old ensign serving on “the big Island” on December 7th, 1941. My Mother served in Hawaii in 1944-45 in the Naval Aux. Reserves [Waves].
Mr. Trump is not fit to serve as the President of the United States. Any American with one drop of patriotic blood in their veins must know this. Lt. McCain certainly did.
O.K. my conscience is telling me that I have to come clean after all these years. I do have to admit that I also Avoided the draft during Vietnam…BY ENLISTING IN THE NAVY! NOT by lying about a FAKE MEDICAL CONDITION!!!
John McCain was a decent man who treated fellow members of congress with dignity and respect. Trump fails all three of those. Repeatedly. Consistently. And now he and Pompeo are invoking God!?! Sheer and utter blasphemy.
McCain served his country with honor. Trump serves up lies to the country every day. McCain would never bow down before Trump. He hated that. McCain has more respect in death than Trump will ever have in life and that makes him furious.
McCain lived to be an old, respected, soldier. Many of my friends didn’t leave ‘Nam alive, and many of us were messed up like John to different levels. Bonespurs is hard on we with PTSD, and gives us gastrointestinal problems, every time we see or hear his voice, we feel like puking.
Let me say Thank your for your service to every one of you who did serve. Personally, I was against the war – BUT I did and do recognize when others selflessly put their lives on the line for their country. It is shameful that you were treated with hostility, etc. when you returned. I can only say that some of us who were against the war – for some inexcusable reason, transferred our hate for the war to those who served so honorably. It is impossible to correct such ignorance. However, I do think many of those people regret their words and actions – at least I hope so. You deserve our gratitude and our apology!!

McCain isn’t fading away, and that infuriates Trump.
