Oliver Wendell Douglas: I’d take a little seed, a tiny little seed, I’d, I’d plant it in the ground, I’d put some dirt on it, I’d water it, and pretty soon, do you know what I’d have?

Lisa Douglas: A dirty little wet seed.

I liked when Oliver would launch into some patriotic speech about the American farmer with Yankee Doodle playing in the background, then Lisa or Eb would ask, ‘Who"s playing that music?’ Loved the surrealism on that show.

From the days when comedy was stupid, not just insults. I miss those shows. Green Acres, Get Smart, Gilligan’s Island, WKRP, Beverly Hillbillies…. so many more. I think Married with Children killed the genre.
