By all rights LeBron should be playing for the Knicks right now. They wouldn’t be cellar-dwellers right now if he was. The Knicks must make a blockbuster trade for LeBron during the summer by getting rid of their crybaby players they have right now. If the Knicks get LeBron they will finally win that elusive third NBA title that James Dolan wanted yesterday.
Fan expectations for LA B-Ball are higher because they think they’re entitled – and to a degree, they’ve got history on their side. I remember the great Finals duels between the Lakers and the Celtics that started back in 1962. ( Actually, it started in 1959 when the Lakers were still in Minneapolis )
As a lifetime Celtics fan, yes, I’m glad to see the Lakers struggling and LJ realizing what a mess he’s got himself into.
BTW the Lakers and the Celtics have played each other a total of 290 season games with the Celts winning 160. They’ve met in the playoffs 74 times and the Celts have taken 43 wins to the Lakers 31. The Boston Celtics have been series champions 9 times to the Lakers 3. Go Boston !
