Our family used to take a vacation to the Jersey shore every August. Inevitably you’d see one of those box kites flying high above the beach.
Pap (my maternal grandfather) used to take sticks, string, newspaper, glue, and rags, and build a kite from scratch. Then he’d take it down the driveway to clear the trees, and fly it so high you couldn’t see it.
At lest no one said “that is so fly!”

So we can’t tell someone to go fly a kite anymore? Now what do we tell them to do?? (Be nice)
Alexander Graham Bell played with kites, too. He invented the Tetrahedral kite, and built one big enough to carry a man.
