The Bushmiller and Jaimes strips are oddly similar today. We call that a “Fritzcretism”.
So clever!
Nancy just might be the only cartoon character who is this frequently drawn from behind and is still instantly recognizable.
What is going on on the right side of the second panel? Is the 2nd piece of paper removed? Why is the coloring full white in the center, fading to yellow at the edges?
Who is the off-panel speaker? 1) Lucy 2) Agnes 3) Fritzi 4) OJ
Is the mess Nancy’s clever way of getting Aunt Fritzi to buy her an iPad?
Those eraserheads never last long.
I find myself wanting to test out this drawing technique…
Thomas Jefferson did create a device that would copy his every movement on paper.
