Some one needs to rein in the new egos a bit. We have way too much ego in the white house as it is. We don’t need ego compitition from capitol hill (more than what we have been having in the past).

Nothing good can come from name-calling. It’s a descent into the infantile.

Calling attention to illegal activities is hardly racist. And she did NOT call attention to Jews but to the actions of the nation of ISRAEL!

She’s not antisemitic, she’s anti “murdering Palestinians and stealing their land”.

To condemn the actions of Israel vis-a-vis the Palestinians for actions that we don’t hesitate to condemn in others, e.g., Myanmar vis-a-vis the Rohingya, is not anti-Semitism; it’s pro-Human Rights. Anti-Semitism is criticism of a Jew for being a Jew, not for the target’s actions; criticism of Israel’s current policies and procedures is no different than criticism of Myanmar, which is not anti-Buddhist, of South Africa’s apartheid, which was not anti-white, of Pol Pot, which was not anti-Cambodian, and on and on. To label Omar’s criticism anti-Semitism seems to be a combined product of ignorance and cynical political opportunism. We need to ignore the propaganda foisted on us by self-serving sources in order to focus objectively and disinterestedly on the facts. Some of Omar’s comments might be inchoate and somewhat imprecise, she is genuinely trying to shine a light on an issue that has been Disneyfied for decades. The truth, if it’s ever fully revealed, will benefit Israelis, Palestinians, and Americans and that is all good.

There is a big difference between AIPAC and the J Street Jews, just as there is a big difference between Likud and its alllies and the progressive Israeli parties. And as 112lenapah said about 1 hour ago, "Drawing attention to the biased favoritism shown towards Israel while proclaiming an even-handed policy in the region is hardly anti-semitism. "

Since when did supporting Israel come to mean blindly supporting settlement expansion, AIPAC, and Netanyahu?

I’m confused. Wasn’t she elected to be the guardian of the people of this country? Is she an American citizen? She sure doesn’t sound like it

I’m confused. Wasn’t Trump elected to be the guardian of the people of this country?

Why does he hang out with Putin all the time and disregard American intelligence?

Jesus was a Jew and a Palestinian too. I sure wish people would remember that. In my opinion, we shouldn’t side with or against Israel always. They, like we, are not always right or wrong. Politics rules there as well as everywhere else.

Arab and Jew are both Semites, descendants of Shem. Having contempt for the actions of Netanyahu and associates is not anti-Semetic any more than being against the Trump insanity is “anti-American”. And, yes, Israel HAS always had special dispensation from the US because more of the “end times” evangelicals than Jews, even AIPAC. I prefer those from J street and working to get rid of Netanyahu and actually start to bring real democracy to Israel, West Bank, and Gaza. Those who shoot guns at those (citizens no less) throwing rocks over the fence or wall that is essentially their prison, are NOT courageous proponents of freedom or Democracy.

I find it ironic that supposed Christians support Likud genocide against Arabs in the name of Jewish supremacy (no more authentic than US claims) when a substantial minority of the Arab targets are Christians. A house divided cannot stand.
