Bob, that is one fine-looking hat. Listening to Tuba Skinny in the background for atmosphere and wishing that I was on Bourbon Street, but that hat does a good job of helping out.
We lived about a dozen miles west of New Orleans back in the 70s and 80s. Went to many parades during the season. Still have a Zulu coconut around here somewhere.

Um…. except Mardi Gras was yesterday….
and now, it’s Lent.
Oh… maybe the tourist restaurants still oblige, though….
after all, it doesn’t matter to non-Catholics, does it?
Hey, whaddya know… I’m not Catholic…. pass me a beignet, pretty please.

Don’t forget the Fish Pontchartrain, Stuffed Mirliton, and Andouille Sausage. When we are done we can stop at the snowball vendor to cool down.

Certainly colorful! She’s into Mardi Gras for the food, Bob is into it for the costume. All fun!
