I see Mr. Rod’s nephew Omar is still working at this place… fiddling with his iPhone.

That’s alright. I’ll buy my micro towels at the store up the street, and some auto parts while I am there.

There’s a certain grocery store here that appears to take that approach with food products, especially snack foods. If they run out of something, you know it’s going to be at least three or four weeks before they get any more in.

Am I the only person who actually doesn’t like the feel of microfilber? I have to wear gloves on my hands just to pick up a microfiber rag let alone use one for anything. And yes this has been true for all microfiber towels I’ve encountered regardless of brand etc. It’s the weirdest thing……

Further proof that this strip is written by socialists who haven’t the foggiest idea how a business works.

Sounds like the Navy commissary here. They stock something new, it flies off the shelves then you never see it again. Morons.

The company that we have our heating oil (actually diesel, dyed so only can be used for heating) contract with has been taken over and then that company has a third company doing the oil delivery and the annual servicing (which took us from September until Feb 26 for an appointment).

We have an old furnace – it is original to our 1949 house, but it works. The fellow who was doing the servicing tells me “You know that this is an accident waiting to happen.” (Okay this is different than the usual this is really old you should think about a new furnace.) “You are lucky I didn’t break anything and it is still running.” (Well maybe then you shouldn’t be doing this work if you break things.) “You know you should replace this furnace. If anything goes wrong with it, the burner pack alone will cost $900 and that’s a lot of money.” (Umm, is buying a new furnace cheaper than that? And can’t I buy a new furnace if this one stops working and needs a new burner pack at that time?" ) I did not say any of the replies, just thought them.

He also told me that when we do replace it, we should get a natural gas furnace instead of an oil one. Okay, so he wants his company to lose our annual $1600 or so in oil purchases as the gas would come from the gas utility not their company?

Apparently he does not think before he speaks. And I have to remember to go down and fix the door on the furnace as he did not put it back on right – but I just wanted to get rid of the imbecile.

We are switching to a new oil company next year.
