Makes clear that most “christian” billionaires condamning medicare for all etc. either never read the bible or only pretend to be christian. Jesus said (according to the bible and supposed that he ever lived) that it’s hard for the rich to get into heaven, and he said that the rich should give away their riches to the poor. It’s ok not to do that, but then, why pretend you are a believer? And it’s also ok for the working poor to ask for a social welfare system, else, wanting to expropriate the super-rich.
Those who call themselves the conservative right these days would probably crucify Jesus himself for the things He taught his followers – mercy and love to all.
I LOVE the fact that there are LITERALLY dozens, if not more versions of “The Holy Buy Bull” ALL OF WHICH are different interpretations of “The Unchanging Word of God”.
First, of course, “God” didn’t write a word of it, MEN DID over a period of Centuries, and second, it is THE MOST EDITED, CHANGED, REVISED, ABRIDGED, RE-WRITTEN, TRANSCRIBED, and ADAPTED Book of FICTION in history!
I think it’s fair to point out the hypocrisy of people who constantly praise Jesus yet don’t follow his teachings. But let’s not get so carried away that we start thinking that all of Jesus’s teachings should be followed. Let’s maintain some independence of thot.

Tax the rich, feed the poor
’Til there are no rich no more?
I’d love to change the world
But I don’t know what to do
So I’ll leave it up to you

Right wingers steal Christ’s name and do the opposite with their actions.
How many children would Christ imprison?
How many AK-47’s would Christ dole out?
Christ would certainly give billionaires a tax break and then
make the poor pay for it and then wreck their schools and medical plans, snerk!

In today’s world, Jesus would be throwing the moneychangers and merchants out the windows of their penthouse offices.

I like the bit in the Bible of Jesus multiplying the loaves and fishes, selling them to the crowd, and making a mint.

^ He’s never give it away, of course; that would only encourage dependency.

I am sure that in 1930s Germany people felt that things were happening in slow motion, just like we do now.
