If I have to make a choice between Republicans saying there is no climate change (or it is impossible to do anything about it) and the Democrats incredibly expensive Green New Deal, I choose the Green New Deal. It is a better starting point for discussion even if some parts are unrealistic.
Yeah, and the Whacko Republicans are spouting off their utter nonsense that the GND will ban air travel, among other LIES. But, they ARE Republicans, so what else SHOULD we expect other then LIES????
Wow. Just imagine, the national deficit could go right off the charts! That new record, 22 Trillion (that’s 22,000,000,000,000.00), is something the administration is real proud of, isn’t it?
Simply put, L. Benson and other RWs prefer to keep the status quo, living the same way we have for the last 50-80 years, proving that we’ve learned nothing new.
Lisa aren’t you part of the brainwashed “trickle-down-economics-works” cult? If that said “Wage increases under republicans” it would work just as well
The point of human intelligence ought to be that you can imagine situations before they happen and take steps to make things turn out better. We can debate the details, but the necessity of a new economic structure is staring us in the face.
The anti-republic party: bent on the destruction of, human decency, math, science, history religious tolerance, public health and safety and most importantly ridiculing/replacing a government of the people, by the people, and for the people with a highly-opinionated, poorly-informed, misogynistic, homophobic, xenophobic, narcissistic, authoritarian who promises to prevent the world from changing and growing.
Considering who Benson kowtows to, this is moderately accurate, as long as you allow yourself to see the little girl as the caricature of the very rich and big business.
Only “moderately” because they as well as the rest of us will actually be winners if any significant fraction of the green deal actually comes to pass: Yes, they’ll have to pay more taxes than last year, but yes, they’ll also get to live in a better environment, both social and physical, than they’d have otherwise. Not that they seem to think it matters.
Lisa really, really, wants everyone to believe a superbeing is going to save the human race from its own global destruction. Lisa and her pals are willing to fight for the right to kill off every living thing if it means they don’t have to admit to themselves and others just like her that their religious fantasy is just that.

Thanks to climate change, there soon won ’t be any butterflies or moths left, Lisa.

We all know what ‘green’ means to the Trumpublicans and it has nothing to do with saving the environment.

Great cartoon; save the butterflies (and the bees) from herbicides and pesticides then maybe we can all eat.

One would suspect that the Republican portrayal of the tenets of the Green New Deal are exaggerated, taken out of context, and inaccurate.

“Pro life” Conservatives are driving all life in this planet towards extinction. If the New Deal can save one species it would be worth it.
