I would love to pin one of these anti-vaxxers down and ask them, with all seriousness, why they are more afraid of their kids getting autism than they are of their kids contracting diseases that can disfigure, disable and kill?
And the award for a supporting role goes to the mother who brought her chicken pox-ridden child to the Denver airport, thus sending me to the hospital with a head-to-toe case of it at the age of 37.
I used to be opposed to vaccines. This is how I changed my mind.
“What changed my mind? It was finding a group of people who were strongly in favor of vaccines and willing to discuss the topic with me. They were able to correct all the misinformation I had heard and respond to my concerns with credible research and other helpful information. They addressed my fears about children’s immune systems being able to handle vaccines, vaccine ingredients, vaccine safety testing and more.”
Back before there even was a measles vaccine, the junior and senior girls would have measles parties. When one girl got sick, as many other girls as she could accommodate would go to her house, hoping to get sick. The last thing you wanted was to get measles after you got married; if you were pregnant, you baby could be born blind, deaf, or “challenged” and that was NOT on your wish list!
I remember my brother started the ‘outbreak’ at our house; Mom made sure we were all infected and in a dark room; Dad brought bowls of ice cream along with those chocolate marshmallow cookies.

Gee Chip, maybe you can get Your Messiah to use his bully pulpit to tell His Disciples to get their kids vaccinated.
.
Or is that, you know, too socialist?
Or too science-y?

It’s a shock to see Bok on the right side of an issue.

Chip, Chip, Chip. Don’t you know that your hero Dotard is the king of the anti-vaxers?
