Clinton was in office 8 years, Bush was in office 8 years (with an overwhelming majority in both houses of congress for much of his term), and Obama was in office 8 years. If Democrats (and I assume Republicans) were in favor of, and willing to fund, a wall during those 24 years, why is there no great big beautiful wall? Who stopped it?
If Trump ever seriously thought a wall was an utter necessity for border security, why wasn’t he shutting down government before Democrats took the House? House Democrats have passed bills with enough money to pay for extra fence/wall where it’s really useful.
He doesn’t really care, nor does Melania’s jacket. It’s all about making sure his base doesn’t realize they’re being used.

Harris did a good job of explaining from her actual experience how ineffective walls are, especially against all those like human trafficers, smuggles, and other “bad guys” Bonespurs keeps bringing up.

4. He didn’t shutdown the government over the wall issue when Republicans denied funding the wall; which would indicate he’s just using the wall to justify a pissing match at the expense of federal workers and the populace at large.

Trump says he wants a WALL. He doesn’t care about better ideas for border security because he wants a WALL. That is the difference.
