Yes. Let Individual 1 and Congress go without paychecks during a shutdown. See how they like getting their meals in the soup kitchen and not being able to afford their medications.
Millions of people voted for that person. He was outvoted by Clinton, but the Electoral College ushered him into the White House. But millions voted for him, even after hearing his toddler-like takes on the country and the world, and his criminal takes on women in general. Millions. Tens of millions. They walk among us.
Isn’t it odd that the representatives elected to serve the public, end up punishing the public instead … for their ( the representatives) inability to do their jobs of deliberating and compromising to best satisfy the will of the people? While mostly all Americans value border security, only a minority feel that a wall will effectively accomplish it. The course that “Congress” — a misnomer if there ever was one — and the resident SHOULD take is abundantly clear and only partisanship and ego stand in the way.
Seems to me that the problem is the lack of a federal paycheck would have little effect on Trump, most of the cabinet and the senate. Their federal paychecks probably don’t even cover the taxes they pay on the rest of their income.
I am glad for the reprieve and that 800,000 people will soon be off the brink of disaster. At least until we are back in the exact same spot three weeks from now.

Then see how quickly the shutdown gets resolved.

Member of Congress or the Presidency. Either is a great career move. Let’s you hog it up at the public trough while pretending you’re helping others.
