Definitely 3-for-3. Of the top of my head, I’d throw in The Thomas Crown Affair.

I completely agree with Weenus. Though I would say Star Trek the Next Generation was better than the original.
Toy Story 2 is better than the original. And Star Trek 2 is the best in the series. That said, most sequels are rubbish. The Matrix Reloaded is so bad it nearly ruins the first one. Most of the Indiana Jones sequels were dreadful.
