Interesting. If he’s not trying to impress Duffy then he doesn’t want to disappoint Kirbee?

This is starting out as in exciting adventure. But at this early stage in the story, there’s plenty of opportunity for it to go wrong. Will Chic go missing just when Wally and Kirbee try to desert? Will Chic fail to return, and Wally has to go out on a search party? Readers can rarely ever predict an Endtown storyline.

He better hope the haint ain’t real, or the charm is!

He’s got guts. Will they be on public display later?

What if the ‘haint’ is actually dittos? I mean it would make some sense: they thrive on emotion, and fear is a powerful emotion…

I’m thinking it might be something left over from topsiders. Machinery? Trying to think what would make a moaning sound.

Refresh my memory: What became of Chic’s pet bug?

This feels like a setup for a hazing. Hazing rituals can be a rite of acceptance…or a method to drive someone off. I hope it’s neither one. I’ve begun to like Duffy.

Chic may end up protecting Duffy. I like Duffy too.

As long as Irving goes with him…

Here’s a guess, a trapped Topsider. With their biosuits they could live indefinitely.
