This got me to thinking. Why is it Scratch the cat can speak educated English to Henry, but Louie never can? Oh wait I figured it out. Scratch is wearing the magical pants which are universal translators.
Once you understand that cats are honest hedonistic hunters it becomes easier. Honest, all they care about is their own comfort and they tell you so. Like the one on my lap and the one trying to stretch out on the keyboard.
