What is it that is causing political parties to favor their ideology over the constitutional democratic republican government of the people, by the people, and for the people? Rather than working as a team as most companies do, in turn, each party has tried unsuccessfully to impose its policies on the entire populace when “winning” — sometimes by s fraction of a percent — and then claiming a mandate … even when voter turnout was a fraction of eligible voters. Rather than having a unified national ID system that would prevent issues about voting, divisive authoritarian politicians at the state level are manipulating the eligible electorate to create the appearance of a “victory” via purging, gerrymandering and reducing access to polling places. Currently, one party is packing the courts, as a precaution of their losing legislative authority. In companies, non-conforming employees unwilling to compromise and be part of the team are terminated. Our Congress which is intended to the people’s team is instead a battleground for two conflicting agendas which often do not include the real most pressing issues that concern the populace that they are supposed to be representing. Bipartisan legislation which should be the norm is very rare. It should not be. Members of Congress be humble public servants, not arrogant authoritarians imposing their will on the unconsenting public. Failure to collaborate and compromise with others should be an event that immediately removes a member of Congress as it would in a private organization. Our representatives do not fear us, but they should.
Now here’s an interesting idea: have Trump cross the border into Mexico. The Mexican police arrest his as an illegal migrant, as Trump is not a Mexican Citizen, and put him in a cage to await trial. Neat, huh?
What’s REALLY frightening is that he’s either delusional enough to think that Americans DO support the magical, mythical “Big Line O’ Slats”, or he’s SO FAR REMOVED FROM REALITY that he ONLY believes what the voices in his head tell him!
