The Senate passed a clean continuing resolution UNANIMOUSLY. If Paul Ryan had called for a vote, they could have passed it in the House with all Democrats and enough Republicans to have a veto-proof supermajority. Trump had even agreed to the deal. But then, boo hoo, wacko extremist right-wing rabble rousers (Limbaugh, Ingraham, Coulter, Fox & friends) scolded him and he gave in like a little baby. We now have a presidency run by talk show idiots.
But Paul Ryan abdicated his role as Speaker of the House, a formerly separate and co-equal branch of government, and turned his gavel over to Trump-ividual 1, along with whatever is left of his balls.
Donald Trump would have made himself irrelevant.
A new speaker takes over on January 3 who has more balls than Ryan ever did (I think she collects ’em from all the men who underestimated her).
Prior to Trump, there had been Republican shutdowns before, but NEVER when ONE PARTY controlled the House, Senate and Presidency. And now that we have the Orange Buffoon, it has happened THREE TIMES in less than two years.
The “wall” that is coming for the trump is made of bars.. and the sooner he is admitted the better the rest of us will be.. we think?? Pence as president might just make us regret what we wish for.
The “problem” Donnie John has (one of MANY) is that hes’s NEVER advanced a single, logical bit of evidence that his request for $5 billion for his wall is predicated on ANYTHING other than his already discredited campaign promise that “The wall will be built and that MEXICO would pay for it!”
Donnie’s new rally chant is – What do we need? A wall! Who’s going to pay for it? We are!!
I DO understand that Donnie John still maintains that Mexico is going to pay for it – eventually, but he STILL hasn’t explained how that’s going to work, either, and I strongly suspect he hasn’t a clue!
Democrats need to start saying over and over that Trump has BROKEN his promise about the wall. We heard it over and over. They had call and response chants over it, MEXICO was supposed to pay for the wall. Why aren’t they holding Trump accountable for this? Of course, it was never going to happen, but so what? It was a promise that Trump made OVER AND OVER, PUBLICLY, IN FRONT OF MILLIONS ON TV AND MANY OTHERS IN PERSON AT HIS MANY RALLIES!
Reversible mittens Romney has decided to criticize trump after he accepted his endorsement. He used to also endorse affordable healthcare in Massachusetts, and reproductive rights, but now he is against those things. Also, now he is from Utah, instead of Massachusetts.

Walling away Dump may not be feasible, but confiscating his smart phone might be doable.

This solution will solve a whole bunch of problems. Trump will FEEL safe ( from Mueller ) and we will BE safe from Trump.

Should be a clear box and be placed on the public square so people can demonstrate what they think of Trump.

I’m thinking of a story by E. A. Poe…“The Cask of Amontillado”… anyone read it? Wouldn’t it be a delicious end for the great cheeto? Yumm!
