If the shut down last long enough.. folk may be reduced to doing just that.. Maternal instincts to keep your children alive will induce women to do most anything…. History is full of desperate times requiring desperate measures..
This could have all been over except, if the president accepted the offer from Congress, he said it would make him look foolish. I’m sure all those people without a paycheck and , especially the ones working for free, are willing to sacrifice so the president doesn’t look foolish. My first thought when I heard that ~~ TOO LATE!
I would sure love it if he would worry about the country as much as he worries about himself!
I believe he timed this shutdown for the holiday season in order to cause the maximum amount of misery for the government workers. He could have easily waited until mid-January and it wouldn’t have made a bit of difference to him.
