Carmy I didn’t know you very well, and didn’t talk to you hardly, but the last time you spoke with me I saw what was a wonderful person that you are. I wish I could have got to know you better.

You will be missed by us all.

Rest In Peace and rejoice, for you are with God now and no longer suffer the pains and aches of this world.

Thank you Thom. Carmy enjoyed this tribute so much. By accident today I googled Birdbrains and this original strip came up. Carmy was so pleased and pleasantly surprised. I will miss my dear friend, but I will not forget her.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear about Carmy. It’s both sad to lose a member of a community and good to know there is a community that will miss her.

I also am saddened by Carmy’s passing. I only knew her and her delightful personality through her postings here and other comic pages. So sorry to have lost her!!!!

Thom, you made it so special with the cartoon you made for her! Thanks for bringing it to life again!

As for us personally, we have arrived here in Raleigh safely and enjoyed our flights from minus 8 degrees, to a balmy 44 here!!! Now…..all of our kids are here together for the first time in 3 years!!! What a wonderful Christmas this will be.

Thank you Thom for remembering Carmy here. We will all miss her, but will meet again to share our laughter.

All of you at the tribe are wonferful people to know. I tell my husband and friends (in the physical world) about your antics, bravery, ups downs and twisted senses of humor all the time. Sharing these comics with all of you is really a high part of my day. All of you take care and have a blessed holiday season.

Now I have to go blow my nose and light a candle fo Carmy.

A wonderful tribute for a wonderful lady. I wish I had known her better.

Carmy will always be with us as long as we remember. But she will be missed. It still hardly seems real.

I’ve been out of the loop and wondered what happened to Carmy, seeing that people were speaking of her passing. I’m glad I came here and found out.

Alas, poor Carmy! I knew her not, Horatio.

All I can say is - what a wonderful group of people come to my cartoon!!!!

I am so honored, pleased and a little embarrassed by your wonderful comments. You ALL mean a great deal to me. Carmy was very special (still is) - as are all of you - to this crummy old cartoonist. YOU all have made MY dream come true - it is I who owe you the honor you give me.

We will all miss Carmy, but I remind you of each of your importance here - BECAUSE you care about each other. I can’t tell you how many of you have written me to thank ME for doing a tribute to one of your online friends! THAT is a very special kind of caring.

Thank you so much for making me a part of your love - both for each other and for cartoons - especially this one. You always make my days special. I can only hope to put a little taste of happy in your lives in repayment.
