If only Garfield had thrown something at the dog to hush it up. Then after noticing it was Arlene it was troubling, she’d thank him only to find out he selfishly says can he can finally get some sleep.

We used to have a tree in my parent’s front garden, it’s roots started pushing up the communal pathway so the tree had to go, roots and all. About a week later I heard a commotion outside, a neighbours cat being chased by a dog, the cat leaped the garden wall and back into the air as if to land on the tree, the expression was fantastic, I doubled over as the cat, now sitting on the grass, stared up into the air. “I’m sure there used to be a tree there”.

LOL! Why does she even bother?

And that children is the “Stupid Male” look that all females have for the males in their species in this scenario.

and THAT is why Garfield will be a permanent single!

The only thing more inexplicable that Liz sticking with Jon is Arlene sticking with Garfield.

Arlene after all these years, you should know better than to tease those poor little dogies in the middle of the night. Garfield needs his beauty sleep. This is all your fault, you little tease.

It’s a mystery why Arlene still likes him.

I love how the characters in Garfield look out at the reader as if to say “See what I have to put up with?”
