It’s not like one eats GARDEN snails, and not in raw from either. Would you eat raw cow, pig or chicken?

I still could never bring myself to try them when served to hubby.

We may never learn if he would eat a snail for a million dollars.

By the way, some poor Australian kid ate a raw/living snail or slug which had a parasite which went to his brain, crippled and blinded him for a few years before finally finishing him off last year.

Life lesson: cooked food is less likely to kill you soon.

That was truly sad! The kid ate it because that’s all his family had to eat. It wasn’t by choice!

Escargot….Escargoing….Escargone!

…you may remember the teen that died eating a slug on a dare…sad.

He’d eat one for a hundred bucks, guaranteed.

I would eat one if someone else paid for it. I am just not a big enough fan to pay the price for them myself. They are just too expensive.

Never had them, uncertain of taste. Do not say taste like chicken.

Snails taste good, especially if you purge them first to get ay dirt out of their systems.

Sunny, this is your cue to practice your negotiation skills. Jojo would probably settle for much less than a million. I once got my little brother to eat some cat food for seven cents (with inflation, that might be more like $1.00 today). Looking back on it, he got the best of that deal. Cat food isn’t really that yucky.

although there are legitimate ways to eat snails, downing a random raw snail puts you at risk of some NASTY parasites, including worms that can eat their way into your brain.

In Hawaii, introduced Tree snails are up for grabs. I ate those things all the time!! Like you said: Garlic butter and fresh parmigiana. Never tried adding pine nuts, but its do-able.
