It’s more the exposure of it than the Rise of it. Such Anti-Semitism, like Racism in the US, remained present but closeted, until it became PC amongst the Red States…

    Prime example: Idaho

Great work! Reminds me of the movie I just saw last night, Blackkklansman. It was a historic retelling of KKK infiltration and unfortunately had to have an update at the end of the movie, due to the trump era.

trump has encouraged tribalism.. and nothing exemplifies that concept better than Anti-Semitism… but there are many other “anti-…” that trumps rhetoric has encouraged. In short.. in trumps world.. if you ain’t white.. straight and rich.. you are.. the enemy.

What’s breathtaking hypocrisy is how the Evangelicals just love and support Jewish Israel and also love and support Trump’s anti-Semitism. And never see the conflict.

In about five days we’re coming up on the anniversary of the last time we had to deal with this nonsense.

As an atheist, I took particular interest in a series of sociological studies (beginning with the University of Minnesota in 2008) examining attitudes toward people of various religions. The research was based on survey responses to questions such as “If you generally supported a political candidate, would you rethink that support if you found out that the candidate was an X?” or “Would you object to your child marrying a person with belief system X?”, in which X would be things like “Catholic”, “Jew”, “Muslim”, “atheist”, etc. Over the last decade, atheists and Muslims traded off the lowest spot — usually less than 50% approval — but the real stunner was that the top-ranked group the entire time was Jews, historically the most reviled and persecuted minority of all. So most of the country seems to have come to its senses, which must completely infuriate the die-hard anti-Semites.

Following the abrupt cancellation of Donald Trump’s G20 meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russian state media roasted him. Known for seamlessly adhering to the Kremlin’s viewpoint, the troupe of Putin’s cheerleaders took turns laying into the president of the United States.

In an opinion piece for the Russian publication “Arguments and Facts,” Veronika Krasheninnikova, “Director General of the Institute for Foreign Policy Studies & Initiatives, Advisor to the Director General of ‘Russia Today’ and a member of the Kremlin-appointed Russian Public Chamber,” says that in light of the canceled meeting, Russia can now give up on the U.S. and “should have never trusted Trump to begin with.”’

Host of the Russian state TV show “60 Minutes,” Evgeny Popov, angrily criticized Trump’s abrupt cancellation: “Just a few minutes earlier he said that now is a good time to meet… What kind of a man is this – first he says it will happen, then it won’t – are we just supposed to wait until he gets re-elected to start communicating with America? This is just foolishness, he seems to be an unbalanced person.”

Just a note, Netanyahu and his coalition are the far RIGHT in Israel. Which explains their treatment of the West Bank and Gaza inhabitants, like the prisoners all their WALLS have created. Hmm, and all Bonespurs can think about is a wall, with lethal force, note the Berlin wall came DOWN.

It never went away, never reduced. Both here and in Europe. It is driven underground every now and then but never changes.

Just 700 more days today. We have survived 760, so we are more than halfway there. And, Trump now has a Democratic House and the Mueller investigation to deal with. I think the worst of this is over, and I’m seeing a very faint rainbow on the horizon.

va-scott: I’m sorry, but you are so hopped up and confused that I don’t even know where to start. I’d like to help you, but I can’t. Was the information about Fundamentalists and Evangelicals and other so-called Christians trying to precipitate Armageddon supposed to be classified? This is America and you’re free to believe whatever you like (so far), but you aren’t a coherent representative for your beliefs. Trump is not a good person or a Christian. He has said on the record that he’d like to be President for Life and have everyone sit up straight and pay attention whenever he talks. He makes no bones about admiring brutal dictators and refuses to condemn neo-Nazis. He’s an opportunistic demagogue who has figured what you want to hear so he can get a handle on you and lead you around by your nose while he and his minions rob you blind. Wake up to what’s happening before it’s too late. Meanwhile, have a good Christmas.

Wonderful; you got a tax break! I hope you’re a billionaire, because otherwise, your grandchildren will be so happy to be paying it off in the decades and centuries to come.

va-scott: So, if the president of the United States, representing the people of the United States (and you), lies constantly, breaks treaties, assaults women, breaks the law, commits adultery, and instigates racist and violent behavior to give you tax breaks and a booming economy, that’s OK. Some Christian you are.

Has anyone else noticed that the trolls are most active at the first of the month? I usually just assume they actually believe what they are saying, but the cycle seems to be consistent with a monthly pay schedule of some sort.

Oh, anti-semitism has many faces and comes in so many more ways than a Nazi salute. How about Islam? Yeah, I think so. Can we address that, please?
