I read today that their is strong talk of [shudder] Hillary running again in 2020. That’s just what the Dems don’t need a retread corporate lackey. (New and improved Hillary now in Progressive!) [barf]

Great. So the recommendation is for the Democrats to blast in with a “take-no-prisoners” game plan. Wonderful idea (/s). That will really get things moving in government, especially since the White House, Senate and USSC are locked up by the opposition party.

If Rall thinks that people like Cummins and Schiff are going to roll over and play dead for the Republicans, he has lost touch with reality. Just once I would like to see Rall espouse a positive pragmatic line of action.

It was wrong of Pelosi to not impeach GW Bush for his war crimes.

Not this time. New, younger, more diverse Representatives are now ready to make the progress in our government the old, white, gerrymandered fossils have been suppressing for so long.

This is stupid. The Democrats didn’t run on “impeachment and take no prisoners”. And now you want to accuse them of folding before they are even seated.

If the investigations yield proof that the president colluded with a foreign country to influence the results of elections in his favor, there is no choice but to impeach the president and seek his removal.

If the investigations yield proof that the president has been taking money or other inducements in violation of law, there is no choice but to impeach the president and seek his removal.

Winking at serious breaches of the relevant laws would be to declare presidents above the law. It would open the doors to all sorts of misbehaviors and outright evil in the future.

    Sad, but likely too true.

Ted Rall’s inner world is just weird. It’s like politics seen through a surreal Daliesque lens, something he would probably see as a bit of a compliment, but it’s not.

Just subpoena the records, compile the information, and go where the evidence leads.

I love Ted’s stuff, but he is definitely not a half glass full kind of guy. At three o’clock in the morning, I know all our heroes are phony, they will always betray our trust, and all our dreams will be shattered. But things always look better after the sun comes up.

“The Worst Thing I’ve Ever Done” By Ted Rall

    1. I was a cartoonist. I thought it was fun to make fun of things I understood tangentially.2. But then sophistry kicked in. And people who thought likewise hired me to make funny drawings of what they thought were important points.Panel shows an editor telling him “Go after Hillary. I hate her position on farm quotas.”3. All the time a real danger was brewing. But it didn’t affect me or the people who paid me.4. Kids were shot in schools, people were run over and killed, Nazis thought they owned the White House, but going after the Democrats for what I perceived to be their wishy-washy nature was still paying the bills.5. I realized then I was a cipher, a moral apostate, but that was OK since I wasn’t one of the brown kids dying in the desert heat or a LGBTQ-friendly pizza store owner getting gunned down and I could still afford my mango smoothies because of my drawing calling them and the people that were trying to help them wusses.6. Finally when they shut down the paper and website because they didn’t need me anymore, I realized I was an embarrassment to them. They threw me in the camp with everyone else.7. I get by these days by drawing cartoons on the crematorium walls using the charcoal I find in the ovens. In them I mock the people in the camps for their wishy-washy nature that led to them being here. Some people never learn.
