I went to a fancy restaurant and noticed the waiter standing around watching the few tables he had, ready to respond. At the end the, bill was very large, and the tip was proportionally large. Weeks later, at a diner, I was fairly well taken care of by a waitress working her tail off with several customers; at the end, the bill was ~$5. I gave her a 100% tip because I couldn’t bring myself to leave her less than $5.
