My town makes sidewalks mandatory. Hardly anyone uses them. One of the city council members owns a paving company. What a surprise!

Reminds me of the people who have Jeeps with snorkels. What’s the chance they’re going to be in more than 3’ of water, or more than 6". For them, going “off road” is cutting the corner a little too sharp when pulling into their driveway.
I sure wish we had a grocer or convenience mart within walking distance of where we live. 1/2 mile would be good.
